Dear Mom,
Man the weeks are just moving by so fast. I really cant believe that this week is already gone. I am still in Takatsuki with my comp. We are working hard each day trying to find those that are ready to hear this amazing message. Man it seems that everyone from Washington wants to move down to Arizona. That is crazy. Well, what can I tell you about this week. Not much has changed since the past week. We have been working hard and we have found some really awesome people to talk to. A couple of them came to church yesterday, it was way cool. We had a lesson and at the end of the lesson one of them prayed. It was way sweet. This work is hard sometimes. There are the days that I feel like I am working so hard and nothing is going on at all, and I just think, "Am I doing something wrong", I know it is at those times that I think about my weaknesses, I pray that I may become strong. Then the next thing you know we meet a really cool guy. Everyday I pray to become stronger. And a better person. I am trying to serve. We do the little things like pick things up for people and pick up fallen over bikes, those little things I think are really good. It is actually really difficult because the culture is that they really don't believe in receiving help, they think if they cant do it on their own they are good for nothing. but, we still try and help any way we can. I really have grown to love these people.Well, I really don't know what else to write about. OH WAIT!! You wont believe what happened, I made no bake cookies the other day, and I got it. I finally got it right. and they were good. That is all about that. So that is really what is going on right now. I love you and miss you so much. I will talk to you later and see you much later. LOVE YOU!!!

Love,
Elder Lane Ashmore

Dear Mother,
So you want to know how things are going then. You really want to know huh. Well, I will tell you how things are going in one word, FREAKING AWESOME!!! Okay that was two words, but that is how it is. The baptism did happen. I am going to send you a picture. I only got one picture though. It was amazing. The ward we are in Hasn't had one for more than 5 years. They were way excited about it. The man is Takase. We has a way sweet testimony. He was totally prepared. We found taught and baptized him in a week and a half. It was truly a miracle. Yet, this week we will most likely have another baptism. Soga san, a way cool guy we met when we got here. His story is just amazing. We met him the day he was thinking about God, and He took a wrong road and I mean he was prepared so much. He will be getting baptized this week or the next. We are shooting for Wednesday. There are miracles happening here in this area right now. It is so amazing. Man I am way excited right now. We are just working really hard and we are meeting amazing people. People that we know are just so prepared. The other day we met this young guy that is catholic, but he doesn't go to church much, but we invited him to church and he got excited and said he will bring his friend because the friend started to be interested in religion, I mean we are seeing miracles here and it is just so amazing. Man I am just so happy right now. There are so many miracles. And I am able to be apart of it. It is awesome. I myself have changed from this all. I have so much more faith. So much more desire. I want to talk to as many people as possible. Man this is so cool. So, ya things are going amazing. Oh, hey, Ryan is probably going to tell you this but, this transfer is over that means that we get calls really soon, I mean like tomorrow. We get the call to see who stays and who goes. So just in case don't send anything until I tell you next week. If you are going to send something. Life is full of things that aren't planned. Sometimes Your expectations are just totally changed. I loved Elder Wirthlin`s talk about "Come what may, and love it" that was such an amazing talk. Sometimes Things are not what they seem, but no matter what, we take it for what it is and love it. We have faith that things are going to get good no matter what.Man I love this work. I love this gospel and I love the chance I have to share it right now. I love you mom and I miss you so much. But, time will fly by as it has been these past 6 weeks. I will work hard everyday. And when I get off that plane you will not recognize your young man anymore. I love you and miss you. I will talk to you soon.
Love.
Your Son,
Elder Lane Ashmore

Dear Mom,
This week has just moved by so fast. I really can't believe how fast this week has moved by. This transfer is almost over. I am getting so old. So there is some really exciting news. We have two baptisms coming up this next two weeks. These two guys are guys me and my comp found our first transfer here and we have been working with for a few weeks and another we found this last week and he is getting baptized this coming Sunday. Way exciting things going on right now. There have been many miracles happening since we have gotten to this area. I am really excited about this work right now. We are working hard everyday, and we are seeing blessing from it. Two are coming into the fold of Christ. I am just so grateful to be here right now.
Right now we are doing email a little later, we are having a basketball activity right now. It is pretty fun. There was sad news today though, a ward that meets is the same building as us, the missionaries for that ward heard this morning that their bishop just had a heart attack and he passed away. Please remember the family in your prayers and the ward.
Things are really going great right now. I am so happy right now. I really have been seeing miracles lately and it is such an amazing blessing to be able to see those.
I haven't heard any of the news going on. So when you get the chance just email me. if you can or if you are still up that would be cool. I will check my mail later too.Well that is really everything for right now. I love you and miss you so much. I will talk to you and see you soon. Time is moving fast. Too fast. I have so much to do still. I will work harder everyday.I love you. Miss you. Talk to you later. Love,
Elder Lane Ashmore
